Taxation without representation is tyranny

This speaks for itself.

taxes-due51 property owners in Snohomish County, 70 in King County, and  164 in Pierce County got a shock when they received their property tax statements. Even though they didn’t get to vote on the Sound Transit ballot measure, they’ve been assessed RTA tax on a portion of their properties that lay within the taxing district. What I find deeply disturbing about this is that, apparently, no one in any of the three counties stopped to say, “Hey, since these people didn’t get to vote on the ballot measure, it’s wrong to tax them.”

Revolutions start over things like this.
